I think we are all that way to a point, we sometimes want what we don't have or think we want something other than what we do have. We have to remind ourselves why and what we do have. The situations are different but I understand what you are saying. I happen to have a great husband and some great kids but the road is rocky and muddy and it does take some time to appreciate it all and sometimes some reminders.

I quite enjoy my rather boring existance, hence you never hear much from me. I do believe though that it is your duty to go out and find some excitement to bring back for me to enjoy. Vicariously yes, I live through you. I have watched and it seems that you like the idea of someone long term but you like your freedom, it could take some adjustments since you want the person to want to conform to your life. One day you will find someone that you will want to compromise to each others lives. It may be hard to find someone to totally change to yours and on the other hand they should not expect you to totally change to their life. Hmmm, seems much more complicated than just graduating High School, running off with the first guy that asks you to marry him and doing all of the adapting and adjusting years down the road when you go..."What the hell did I do?". I think both are equally complicated, just different.

Yeah, enough rambling senselessly, I lost myself.

In the end, it's all just a bunch of people wandering around aimlessly bumping into walls and redirecting. Sometimes it's fun and sometimes it leaves bruises.
