Happy 4th of July!

I am happy to report that nobody blew off any fingers this year. We had only one incident of my brother lighting himself on fire. Oohs and Aahs were heard through out the valley, thanks to my dad. We had a nice relaxing holiday. Things have been much better with the family lately, I only had to mention a "come to Jesus meeting" and the ranks straightened up. I usually have a very close relationship with my brothers (*which I call "my trained monkeys") and my sister. I hate when we fight and so do they. We don't usually stay at odds for long because none of us can stand it. Getting back into the thick of it with the siblings was one of the highlights of the weekend. Some of my parents friends came to their house, they had no idea what they were in for. We do things a bit different out here in the country, especially when we have a firetruck on hand most of the time. We had a "blast" showing these city folk how the rednecks do it. While standing around the fire pit in the back yard I was introduced to a new drink, I think we decided to call it "dale-ight." 2 parts whiskey, one part V8 splash fruit juice, one part mountain dew. The measurements only matter for the first couple after that you get so buzzed that you don't realize that your pouring more whiskey than you thought. Even after Friday night's indulgence, we all woke feeling just fine. Even after we discovered that between the 4 of us we had consumed 2 1/2 gallons of whiskey. We turned around and did it all again on Saturday night. Even one of the trained monkeys got into it.
In other news, I got a call from RY this weekend. I fought the urge to meet him and tear his clothes off. Later in the day my bf B ran into him and reminded me how HOT he is, damn his hotness! I got a call from Philly, we just chatted about our plans for the weekend. He was nonchalant during the conversation which is not helping my ever mounting anxiety at seeing him tonight. I thought that I would take this long weekend to sort things out about him. Instead I pushed the whole thing from my mind and just enjoyed myself. It hit me last night that I have no idea what I am going to do about him. It would have been easier to think about it when I don't have to see him. I am tougher when I don't have gorgeous, deep brown Italian eyes on me. Damn his hotness, too.-V

*I call them my trained monkey's because honestly they do the craziest shit! This weekend they decided that they should fill a box with fireworks; instead of lighting them one by one; and then light it. The explosion was huge! Sadly that wasn't even when one of them lite themselves on fire. Things like that are common place around my parents house.

It sounds like a great time. I wish I had some trained monkeys to view for entertainment purposes. Maybe I will borrow yours for my next gathering, do they hire out?

I saw RY and yes, he is a cutie. I felt bad that I didn't get to talk to him. I see him entirely differently than you do.

Nice weekend! Happy freakin Monday!!!!!!

I would love to hire out my trained monkeys, you have to sign a few hundred waivers and have an ambulance on stand-by. This is why my entire family is EMT certified. Let me know the date and I will write it into their calendar. You are so right about the "freakin Monday" it's almost over luckily!-V

Sounds like an awesome time! Happy belated 4th July to you and yours.

I only have the one sister, so no trained monkies here but they sound wicked.

About Philly - if you don't know what to do, the best bet is to not think about it and see what you DO do when you see him. Go with your instincts, they're rarely totally worng.

Thanks to C, I am more freaked out than usual. I went to dinner with Philly last night and she just HAD to point out that it was like a real date and stuff. Oh thanks so much C! lol I was actually kinda excited to see him last night. We didn't even have sex, just dinner and talked for a while. I am just going to see what happens in the next week or so. I think that he is going to stay this weekend, alot will be decided if we don't kill each other by the end of it. Thanks for all the advice, Newbie.-V
