Just a little shiner....

I have returned from what can be categorized as one of the best mini-vacations ever! It was not nearly long enough, but they never really are. It was relaxing, peaceful and drama free. We tried really hard to figure out a way to stay there the rest of the summer. To no avail. Sadly the only souvenir that I brought back was this.
NO, I am not a battered woman! My eye just happened to meet a really hard knee. I didn't think it was that bad. Sure the impact hurt a little. But by the time I surfaced out of the water there was blood and already some blackness. My best B took me back to camp and cleaned the lake water out of the cut, while I proceeded to drink beer as fast as I could. Hell if this was gonna hurt I wanted to be drunk. I got poured into the tent that night and woke with it swollen shut. That was 4 days ago and I still can't look at it without laughing.-V
